How long does permanent jewelry last?
Permanent jewelry is built to last for years — exactly how long depends on the metal, and each comes with its own bit of daily grace. Stainless steel is the most resilient of the three, holding up beautifully through everyday life. Sterling silver and gold-plated sterling silver keep their shine with a little weekly attention. Solid gold, the softest and most luxurious option, simply asks for gentle daily care in return for its lasting beauty.
Does it hurt?
Not at all. Before we weld, a small leather guard is placed between your skin and the chain to keep you safe and comfortable. The only thing you’ll notice is a brief, bright flash — the instant the weld is formed — so we’ll ask you to close your eyes or wear the protective eyewear we provide for that single moment.
What is the welding process actually like?
It happens in the blink of an eye. A small jump ring joins the two ends of your chain — sized to your body beforehand — and for one brief second, focused heat and light fuse that ring seamlessly closed. No clasp, no glue. Just a permanent connection, made for you.
Removal & Adjustments
Can it be removed?
Yes, For any medical reasons they can remove it with the tools they have on site. However, if your piece is lost and you’d like a replacement. Please head to the tab that says “need help” and click on, “I lost my piece”. Then fill out the form to answer some questions. After payment is received, our team will re-create your jewelry and mail it back to you.
What if it needs resizing or breaks?
If your piece needs adjusting or accidentally breaks, you can go to our website under the tab “need help”, and you can click the link to mailing your piece for a small price and our welders can fix it. It will be mailed back to you with a clap so that you can put it back on
Day-of Logistics
How far in advance do couples need to book?
Honestly, the sooner the better. We suggest booking a minimum of a year out before your event date. This way all the details are worked out without skipping or missing any of the fine details and it keeps our team stress level low as well as the couples. Once dates are locked in, The couple will choose their desired chain, and customize their charm that will be handcrafted by the team.
How does day of-booking work for guests?
To help us avoid any accidental show-ups, we’ll need a headcount with the names of your guests ahead of time. On the day of your event, each guest will get access to a private booking link to reserve their spot

Aftercare
Any restrictions after getting it welded (showering, exercise, jewelry care)?
After your event day, each person will be mailed an aftercare package that has the directions of how to take care of your specific piece of jewelry. For sterling silver and solid gold, it is highly recommended to clean the jewelry after showering, exercising, or getting dirty to maintain its high quality.
Materials
What are the chains made of?
Depending on what your wanting, we have options to choose from:
1. Stainless Steel, plain/silver, as well as gold plated stainless steel with 14 karat or 18 karat tonality.
2. Then we offer Sterling silver of which is already oxidized so it has a little bit of shadow and gold-plated sterling silver with a more 14 karat gold tonality.
3. Lastly, we offer solid gold. These typically range between 14k to 18k gold tonality.
Any allergy concerns?
If there are any concerns of individuals with a metal allergy, please inform the team during your consultation.
With about 90% of people having a metal allergy to nickel, our team of researches does their best to ensure that nickel and any other metal allergy is not within the chains of choice. However, due to the lack of transparency from factories that make the chains and charms, Gilded Vow’s, LLC team cannot 100% ensure that the chains chosen by the couple will be nickel free.

Are you able to officiate a wedding ceremony?
